As part of a strategic partnership NARDA developed with the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), NARDA members now have access to several CEA services and programs, including CEKnowHow, Market Research and CEA’s Small Business Council (SBC).

CEA’s CEKnowHow Web site provides education for consumer electronics sales associates. CEKnowHow educational topics include audio, digital television, home networking, mobile and wireless.

Training at CEKnowHow ranges from increasing product knowledge to improving sales to keeping abreast of the latest trends in consumer technology. The curriculum developed is designed to be product- and brand-neutral. CEKnowHow covers all major consumer technology product categories. Retailers, however, can use some or all of the content to suit their inventory.

With more than 500 reports created each year, CEA Research is recognized as the authoritative source for consumer electronics market data. CEA provides ongoing, primary research into consumer buying patterns, awareness of new technologies, interest in product features and a host of other issues. CEA Research conducts approximately 20 unique consumer studies each year. This information, valued at $1,999, is available to NARDA members at no cost.

CEA’s Small Business Council (SBC) program assists small, as well as new and emerging, businesses. Services focus on the core business functions that enable small companies to flourish, such as management, finance, marketing, sales, human resources and legal issues. A key SBC program, live webcasts, features expert presenters covering timely and important education for the small business.

Other key SBC benefits include educational programs at CEA conferences that teach business skills and strategies needed by successful dealers.
